First Day of Planting (March 22, 2009)
36 plants in all: 9 romaine lettuce, 9 bok choy, 9 broccoli, 9 cauliflower
Let me tell ya – squatting to plant all these babies was one heck of a workout!
May 10th is officially known as Tomato Day in south Jersey. All the farm stands have their tomato plants and everyone I know plants their tomatoes on this day. Apparently, this is the day because there has never been a night of frost after this date. The next two pictures were taken before we added tomatoes.
And this is just a picture of my supplies.
Too busy planting to take pictures of the planting but it was a team event. Big Man and the kid handled the beefsteak tomatoes (6 plants), cucumbers (2 plants) & bush beans (2 plants) in the garden while I handled the green tomatoes (2 plants), red bell peppers (2 plants) & herbs in pots.
Next two pictures are the final products. 1st pic I am standing near my compost pile facing my house. 2nd pic is facing away from my house. On the far side of the garden is my compost pile.
Oh Yeah ~> and here is a pic of some of the herbs. There is an oregano pot on another table.

Loving your garden!! And unfortunately I'm so not a menu planner…I keep trying but I hate feeling so committed, something's wrong with me!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for the kind comment! Glad you found me and I found you!
